Class Overview:
This 4-week class focuses on tricks with foundation applications, such as sit, down, hand touches, paws up leading to more advanced tricks like item retrieval, leg weaves, lights on/off and more.
Tricks training is a fun way to build skills that carry over into everyday obedience and competition work.
Improves focus and can reduce stress, helping dogs train for—and perform in—competitive settings.
Builds a stronger bond through a fun, positive, cooperative working relationship between dog and handler.
Enhances handler training skills by practicing cues, shaping, luring, and targeting.
Provides mental enrichment and physical exercise, which can help prevent boredom and problem behaviors.
Boosts confidence as dogs succeed at learning new skills—especially in new or uncertain situations
NOTE: This is not a training class. Dogs should know basic obedience before taking this class.
