Our Mission
Our purpose is to promote the advancement of well-behaved dogs and responsible dog ownership.  We provide positive, reward-based motivational training. Catawba Valley Obedience Club (CVOC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1981. All our instructors are volunteers.

Community Outreach
CVOC has community outreach programs. We sponsor public seminars and presentations.

Graduates from our classes have gone on to become certified as Therapy dogs through various Therapy certification programs, and are visiting area colleges, schools, hospitals, libraries and nursing homes.

Classes
CVOC offers dog obedience training classes, ACK Canine Good Citizen™, AKC Tricks, AKC Community Canine and Rally classes, evaluations and testing to the public throughout the year.

Come Join Us!
CVOC now trains every Thursday night at Foothills Gymnastics (around parking lot to back of building) in Hickory. It is located on 920 29th Ave N. Exceptions for holidays or special events are announced.

Times
Members Training & Practice - We train every Thursday evening starting at 6:00 PM  to 8:30 PM. Exceptions for holidays or special events are announced.

Members Monthly Meeting - A business meeting is held, starting promptly at 6:00 PM, on the 1st Thursday of each month. Members training follows immediately after the meeting.

General Training Classes (Open to the public & members) - Classes are from 6:00 - 7:00 pm, unless otherwise announced. Read More...
